The insurance companies need to be set up in the Contacts as a supplier in Buildlogic. They can then be used when adding the insurance details per Supplier/Subcontractor.


Go to: Contacts and check if the Insurance company is already in the list.   

If not, click "New"  

Enter the insurance company name and change the Contact type to Supplier/Subcontractor   

Note: This is all that is required in this screen as an Insurer contact.  

Click “Save”

Select the Supplier/Subcontractor that you want to add insurance details to and click "Edit"

Select "Certificates" tab



Select the type of insurance you are adding at the Certificate drop down.

Select insurance company name from the Contact drop down

Enter the policy number in the Reference field

Select Expiry Date from the calendar menu

Enter the Amount insured (if applicable)

Click “Save”
