To create a head contract variation, navigate to the jobs list and select the job you would like to add a head contract variation to


Click the HC Variations button and this will take you to the head contract variations list for the selected job


Press the +New button to create a new head contract variation

This will open up a new head contract variation, fill in all the relevant information for the variation


Client Number: Client reference number if provided, otherwise can be used as an internal reference number.

Specification: This is a detailed description of work to be completed 

Site Instruction: This is used as an indicator of who gave the instruction, E.g. 'Client'

Scope of Work: Shorter description of work to be completed, this will show in list so you can get a brief overview


Once all information at the top is entered click the 'save' button to save the information you have just entered

and click the +New button at the bottom of the screen to start entering lines on the variation


Fill out the information when adding a new line in order to allocate costs properly 

If a contract already exists you can assign the line at the time of creation to an existing contract by selecting the contract in the 'SC' field 


Add as many new lines as necessary to cover all items on the variation


Once all lines have been added make sure to save changes and proceed with any necessary approval processes
