There are a few different ways you can analyse the budget of a job.   One way access to this information is through the Job Trades screen

To access this information first select a job and then either double click or click the open button.

You will be presented with a screen showing the lines of your budget, similar to the below (Depending on how your budget is set up):

You will notice a drop down menu labelled 'View By:' on the top right of the table. This selection allows you to choose which level you want to view the budget by.

There are 3 different levels to a budget listed below in descending order

  1. Trade
    1. Top Level of a budget generally listed per trade on a job, e.g. Excavation, Carpentry, Painting, Roofing
  2. Cost Code
    1. Middle Level of a job generally split into cost codes such as Labour, Materials, Subcontract, Plant & Equipment
  3. Reference Code
    1. Lowest Level consisting of the most detailed break up of each line, generally splits trades into their component parts called Reference Codes.  Take Carpentry for e.g. it may be split into: Carpentry Labour, Shop fitting, Carpentry Materials, Door Frames, etc

The information displayed depends on how you set up and code your Buildlogic budget.   This can be adapted to suit an individual business and modified in real time, the cost codes and reference codes that can be used are defined by the Buildlogic Client Administrator for your site and the trade set up, by the person who created the budget.
