*There is an example .csv import file attached to this article, you can use this as a template.

Replace the example information with your own before importing. The format must remain the same for import to work correctly*

First a quick example of a .csv layout

A couple of things to remember,

  • Do not use number/currency fields with dollar signs ($) keep all fields in general format
  • The header level field at the end of the correlates to the header levels in Buildlogic estimating:
    • 0 being a detail line
    • 1 level 1 header
    • 2 level 2 header
  • Data can be updated when brought in to Buildlogic

When you are happy with your .csv file, save it in a location you will remember.

Open Buildlogic and go to the imports menu, select Import .csv file, see screenshot below.

This will open a window that allows you to import a file, select the choose file button, navigate to the .csv file location and select your CSV file.  Once you have selected the file, it will be displayed next to the choose file button.

You can then click import

Your estimate will be displayed in the Estimate list which is accessed from the Imports menu
