*To use below functionality ability to approve variation lines required in user settings*
If you have a line on a head contract variation that you need to claim immediately you are able to do so while the other lines are still awaiting approval.
You can achieve this by using the line status to your advantage, as an example let's say you have a variation with 10 lines, one line has been completed and needs to be claimed immediately, the other 9 lines are awaiting approval.
To claim this single line you can open the variation and mark only the line you wish to claim with a status of approved. The other line items can be left as awaiting approval (?)
As you change the status to approved you will notice the line will appear in your progress claim, once a line has been added to a progress claim you will no longer be able to edit that line, so make sure you are certain the line is correct before adding it to the claim.
If you are trying to pull a line into a progress claim that is already open, don't forget to refresh from budget.
