After some minor initial setup, Buildlogic and Xero are able to communicate with each other. Transactions can be put into either Buildogic or Xero initially and then pulled between the 2 systems. Eliminating the need to double entry.
A small example of some functions that are available after Buildlogic and Xero are integrated -
The ability to send from Buildlogic to Xero: Purchase Orders, Head Contract Progress Claims, Subcontract Progress Claims
(When these are linked any payments made in Xero will automatically reflect and be noted in Buildlogic)
The ability to send or pull payroll and timesheets to track employee hours on a job between Xero and Buildlogic.
The ability to link income and expenses to any existing accounts you have set up in Xero.
The ability to set up and link any tax codes already set up in Xero.

Xero is able to link to Buildlogic by a job number set up under Tracking Categories.

How to Link Buildlogic to your Xero Company File
Under the accounting system info tab in Buildlogic you can add one or more Xero accounting system company file.
Open the accounting system drop down menu and select Xero, you will be presented with a connect to Xero button enabling you to connect Buildlogic to your Xero company file. Fill out the login credentials using your Xero Administrator account signin and password.
Once you have logged in using your Xero administrator account details, you are able to navigate through each of the tabs and link income and expenses to different accounts that you have set up in Xero. You can also personalise the way you want to send or receive certain data between Buildlogic and Xero.
How to Import existing Xero contacts
If you have existing contacts already set up in Xero company file, you are able to pull these directly into Buildlogic without having to manually create them again. To do so you need to ensure that the contacts in Xero have been allocated an account number which is the main linking field between Buildlogic and Xero.
if you need to allocate an account number to a contact in Xero, first find the contact in question and click edit, select 'Add account number' and enter a suitable account number and save. Once a contact has been allocated an account number, you are able to import it directly into Buildlogic, after running a sync.
