DASHBOARD – WEB VERSION

When you sign-on to Buildlogic and your landing page has been set as the Dashboard, you will see a display similar to the below.

 

 

Sections in Dashboard

  1. Job List - The box on the left of the screen displays the jobs that you have been given access to.   You can tick the box to Deselect All and then tick only the job(s) you only want displayed.   Select the Refresh button and the weather icon and the widgets will be updated.   

 

 

 

  1. Weather Information - Below the Job list is the Weather icon.   If you have more than 1 job selected the weather will display the weather for your office based on the postcode.   If you select only 1 job, the Weather icon will display the postcode associated with the site and display the weather for today and the next 2 days.

 

 

  1. Release Notes - At the top right is a small icon - .   This icon can be seen from most screens in Buildlogic.    This icon will flash  and a red dot will show when a new release has been pushed to production.   Click on the icon and the latest release notes will be displayed and the icon will stop flashing.   

 

The release notes will display the first section of the release notes and if you want to read all the release notes, click on read more at the bottom of the notes and you will be taken to our knowledge base where all the information about the release is published.

 

 

 

 

  1. Widgets - On the right side of the screen are a series of widgets that you can select by clicking your mouse.   The widget will then appear on you Dashboard.    

At this time there are 13 widgets.   You will only see the widgets you have access too.    Other widgets will be added over time.

When you click on a widget it will move it into your Dashboard and the widget icon will go dim.

Once you have a widget on the dashboard, you can drag and drop it where you want it to appear on your dashboard

You now only need to have the widgets you are interested in on your dashboard.

The dashboard is made of 3 different sections with different widths – the first is full width, 2nd is split into thirds and the last has a 2 third/1 third section.

If you have access to all functions, you will see all of the available widgets on the right side of the screen.

 

  1.   - To-dos Widget

This widget can display to the user numerous pieces of information including the following.

  1. The job owner who was nominated when the job was set up, will receive notifications if a contract has been raised and let over what was allocated from the budget.
  2. The job owner will be advised when retentions held against Contracts are due to be paid in 7 days.
  3. If using Buildlogic to manage your subcontractor insurances/certificates, 30 days prior to them expiring a message will appear giving you the opportunity to follow up the contractor for their updated insurance details.   This will appear in the Dashboard of the person who added the insurance details to the contacts.
  4. Any entries allocated to the user in the Buildlogic Calendar will also appear in this To-dos widget.
  5. If using Complex approval processes for Contract Payments and Head Contract Variations and you are nominated as an internal approver, a notification will be added to your To Do list to approve the payment or notification.
  6. If using the Buildlogic Gantt Chart, item from the Gantt Chart can also appear in this widget if required.

 

As this To-dos section grows it can become busy, the small icons across the top of the screen can be used to only show the information you want to displayed at the time.

If you want to look at these tasks in the calendar view, please select the button – View in calendar at the bottom left of the widget.

 

  1.  - Bulk Transactions waiting to be sent to Accounting System Widget

If your site has been set up to send bulk transactions to the Accounting System and you have been given access to this function, this widget will display the transactions that are waiting to be sent.    

From this widget, you can select to go to the list of transaction by selecting the following icon -  which is at the top of the widget.

 

  1. - Invoices with Payment Date Widget

This widget lists the latest invoices received, processed and their expected payment date.    

 

  1.   - Purchases Chart Widget

This purchase chart shows purchase orders raised in the last 3 months by job or jobs.

When you click on the 3 bars, you can select one of the output options.

 

 

 

 

  1.   - Contract Claims received with payment dates Widget

 

This widget lists the unpaid Subcontract progress claim with the expected payment date.

 

 

 

This contract chart shows contracts raise in the last 3 months by job or jobs.

 

When you click on the 3 bars, you can select one of the output options.

 

 

  1.  - Head Contract Progress Claims processed but not linked to AS Widget

 

This widget lists any head contract progress claims that have been processed in Buildlogic but not sent to the accounting system.

 

 

  1.  - Progress Claim Chart Widget

Shows the claimed amounts for the last 3 months.

 

  1.  - Job Progress Widget

This widget provides information about the jobs you have access to, and how they are progressing based on expenses and invoicing.

Job % - this is picked up from the field on the job detail screen.    If you enter in a % complete it will be reflected in this column.

Claimed %

Claim received %

Status – there are 3 types of status in this column – OK, Expenses > Claimed, Claimed > Expenses.

 

  1.  - Forms Widget 

Only users of Day Sheets and Site Diaries will be able to see this widget.   

This shows all site diary, toolbox talks and pre-start forms.     From this you can see if forms have been submitted or not.

If the form has been submitted you can click on the PDF icon and download the form from here.

 

 

  1.   - Job Summary Widget 

This widget gives you a quick overview at a glance of how the job or jobs you have access to and how they are tracking plus who is the job owner.

Notice from this widget, that the Job, variations and claimed entries are hyperlinks.   You can click on any of these hyperlinks and you will be take to that function.

 

 

  1. – Invoices received but not sent to Accounting System Widget

 

This widget shows invoices received for both purchase orders and subbie claims, with an invoice received date that have not been sent to the Accounting System.   

These entries appear in this widget when the invoice received date is 10 days old.   This provides users with a change to check and process the transaction inside the Security of Payments act stated days.

 

Each of these entries has a hyperlink where you can click and be taken to the transaction.,

 

 

  1.   - Contract claims received via Subbie Portal 

 

You will not see this widget if you don’t have access to Contracts and Contract Variations module.   When a contract is set up, if you have been nominated as the Contract Owner on the Order tab when the contract was set up and the subbie has been given access to the Subbie Portal to submit his claims, this widget will list any claims that are submitted to remind you to go and process the subbie’s claim.

 

 

  1. Icons - Bottom of the Dashboard
  1.    - via this option you are able to ask questions and search the Buildlogic Knowledge Base and if you can’t find the answer, you can create a support ticket in the Buildlogic Support Logging System.   A good example of using this function is, if you search for Release Notes, you will be able to see all the notes about functions/changes that have been made in the software.

 

  1.  - this is the Buildlogic Chat line and it allows you to ask questions and chat with a consultant and if the issue can’t be resolved, the consultant can create a ticket in the Buildlogic Support Logging System.
