If you want to set up a second Xero connection for another company file, there are some steps that need to be followed to ensure the connection works properly. 


Follow below steps before setting up a second instance of Xero - 


  1. Important: Log off of Xero website - This is to stop Xero from attempting to prefill the login details, if you don't log out of Xero it can cause the sessions to overlap and break the connection. 
  2. Open The Buildlogic website - Now to add the new Accounting System in BL
    1. Go to System > Accounting system info 
    2. Hit the +new button to add another accounting system file 
    3. Select Xero and save
    4. Hit the "Connect to Xero" button on the right hand side
  3. This will open a new window where you will have to enter the login details (it may ask you for 2 factor authentication, if so enter this code)
  4. After authentication the Xero screen will automatically close and you should see the correct organisation in the company file drop down menu.


If you need to set up a third account, Open Xero again Log off and follow the steps through one more time.
