BUILDLOGIC – ENTERING A TIMESHEET

 

A Buildlogic Timesheet can be entered on the phone or on any other device including the desktop.

 

Once you are signed into Buildlogic, create a Buildlogic Timesheet by selecting Timesheet.

 

 

The timesheet will then display the first day of your pay week.   Select the Add timesheet.

 

 

On the following screen, check your start time, finish time and break time are correct. They will be the same as the previous days timesheet.   These times need to include any overtime.   Select the small blue + in the grid to add your work allocation.

 

 

 

 

Enter the details and select the save button.   

 

Repeat the process if you have worked on more than one job or more than one task on a job.   You will not be able to Submit the timesheet until you balance to the hours allocated to the hours worked (displayed at the top right of the screen)

 

Here is a description of the fields on the work allocation screen.

 

Line Type - Refers to the type of hours you are going to add to the timesheet.   In most cases it will be normal but you can also add Personal Leave, Holiday Leave, RDO and there may be others for your site.

 

Job - Refers to the job that you want to allocate hours to. 

 

Job Trade - Refers to the trade in the job in which you are entering hours for.   For example; Carpentry, Electrician, Roofing, etc.

 

Cost Code – In the majority of time, this will be Labour and is the to the account required by the accounting system to allow the timesheet to be sent from Buildlogic to the Accounting System.

 

Reference Code - Refers to codes in the Buildlogic web which are used for reporting actuals against budgets.    A default one will be set up, but it can be changed.


Hours – the number of hours worked on the selected job.

 

Notes – Allows you to add any notes that maybe required by a site supervisor or the office to approve the hours requested.

 

On returning to the main screen, if your hours have balanced, the Submit button will be highlight.   Select this button and your timesheet will be done.

Note:   Once you have Submitted your timesheet, you cannot change it.   You can save it as a draft, and come back and finish it later.
