Time Costing Register
The Time Costing Register is used to manage and track labour and time-based costs across a job. It provides visibility of time entries and supports financial tracking against selected date ranges.
This screen includes job selection, date filtering, grid-based results, and import functionality for efficient time cost management.
Filtering
Users can filter records using predefined or custom date ranges by selecting options and hitting the green refresh button.
Date Range Options
- All
- Financial Year / Previous Financial Year
- Year / Quarter / Month / Week / Day
- Timesheet Week
- Previous periods
Custom Dates
- Start Date
- End Date
Selecting a range in 'show' automatically updates the date fields.

Toolbar Actions
Create & Edit
- Create a new time cost record (requires job selection)
- Edit selected record
Delete
- Delete selected record with confirmation prompt
- System validates if deletion is allowed before proceeding
Import
- Upload time costing entries via file import
- Supported formats: CSV, Excel (XLSX), TXT

Import Functionality
The import panel allows bulk upload of time cost records.
- Select file using file picker
- Upload and process records
- View success or error notifications
Imported records are automatically reflected in the grid upon success.
Tips
- Always select a job before creating new records
- Use date filters to focus on relevant time periods
- Verify imported data before relying on reports
- Use delete carefully, ensuring records are not required
- Refresh the grid after changes to confirm updates
- Time costing records can be used for equipment as well as staff
